“We wanted to provide training in skills such as listening, setting goals, and coaching so our leaders would have the fundamentals they needed to lead effectively,” says Brian O’Neill, leadership development advisor for AMH. “After previously offering stand-alone training in leadership basics, we wanted to design an in-house curriculum that would extend this process of growth and development for our leaders throughout their careers,” he continues.
O’Neill was already familiar with SLII® and Self Leadership from Blanchard and knew those models would deliver the foundation he needed for the larger curriculum. With colleague CJ Rodriguez, he created the Leadership Journey as a dynamic collection of learning experiences customized to meet the needs of all leaders at AMH.
