Moving from Strategic to Operational Leadership

Principal and Executive Vice President
The Ken Blanchard Companies

You can’t treat your people poorly and then expect them to treat your customers well. Treating your people right begins with good performance planning for setting clear goals. It continues with managers who provide each employee with the right amount of direction and support they need to achieve those goals. In this session, Scott Blanchard connects the dots between vision and day-to-day management practices. Drawing on the 10-year study on the impact of leadership by The Ken Blanchard Companies®, Blanchard will explore the long-term impact of others-focused leadership behaviors and the critical role day-to-day management practices have on productivity and profitability. Participants will learn about the connection between employee appraisals of a company’s work environment and how that translates into positive or negative intentions to perform at a high level, stay with and endorse an organization, and be a good team player.
